JUNIOR CONVENORS
Roles
The Junior Golf Foundation has in the past written
and requested all KGU Affiliated Golf Clubs to appoint
a Junior Convenor who will be in charge of the JGF affairs
in that Club.
A junior golf affairs at a club are to organize coaching
clinics, junior club nights where both handicapped and
non-handicapped juniors can participate, arrange for
markers for juniors who aspire achieving a golf handicap,
be the link with the golf committee at that club, be
the link between that club and the JGF and facilitate
juniors at that club to participate in National events.
In the Nairobi District, the Junior Golf Foundation
organizes regular meetings for Junior Convenors to attend
and to discuss how to promote junior golf at their respective
clubs. Below is a list of the current junior convenors
as provided by the respective clubs. Clubs whose names
don't appear either do not have a junior convenor or
have not responded to our communication.
