Grants and Scholarships

The Foundation will endeavour to assist junior golfers who have excelled at the national level with supporting letters and recommendations when applying for grants or golf scholarships at institutions of higher learning.

Also available to junior golfers is the opportunity to participate in an internet course "HOW TO OBTAIN A COLLEGE ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP." Candidates for the course must comply with the following two requirements:

  • Have a high school diploma or currently be in high school. Students that are in their Freshmen or Sophmore (first or second year) year in College will also be accepted.
  • Maintain an "Amateur" status. Not have signed any professional contracts with a team or sponsor.

Junior golfers who may be interested in applying for Golf Scholarship bursaries must also consult the Rules of Amateur status. The R & A have a booklet with guidance for golf scholarship and bursaries and this may be downloaded from their website www.RandA.org
